Well I'm quite ticked off with the Olympics. Am I going to stop watching? No. Will I be highly skeptical of everything? You better believe it.

Gymnastics. Gymnastics. Gymnastics. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!?!?!?! The Beam Event Final was absolutely a crock. In no way shape or form do I disagree with the judging for Shawn and Nastia. After that.... it's so unfair. Points were taken from girls who had great routines. Too little points were taken away from people who clearly crashed and burned.

Shawn Johnson's routine was hands down way better than Lei Cheng who had a few small balance checks and one big balance check which she saved herself from falling off. Yet, Johnson's execution score was only .075 better than Cheng's. How did Cheng still score an execution score of 9.125? I do not believe that the new scoring system has rectified anything. Johnson's score should have been higher and Cheng's should have been lower. You know it's bad when the commentators complain that a score was too high. I'm not insinuating that Chinese gymnasts had special treatment b/c clearly it happened to a bunch of people. Other gymnasts deserved higher or lower scores as well. I just waited to long to write about it so I don't remember all the routines.

Well maybe that's just me.

On to Track and Field

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!?!?!?!
I am really upset with Lolo Jones. If she would have kept her eye on the task at hand and not look up at the jumbotran, maybe she would have made it over the hurdle a bit better and won the race. Oy, lesson number 1 people. Don't celebrate until you are certainly in the clear. Having two hurdles left is not in the clear by any means. I know she blamed it on her rhythm. Yeah, load of CRAP! You had a clear rhythm and then lifted your head up to marvel at yourself. :shaking head: Well, hopefully there's next time.
Then there's Sanya Richards. What in the world were you thinking going that hard in the first 100m? I know. I know. Get the advantage. But good grief you better have enough juice to finish. Did you not stretch enough beforehand? Did you drink a sugary drink earlier that day? You don't cramp up on the final race. Yikes. Oy. I feel like a big let down in my fav sport. Sigh What are you gonna do? What until next time.

Well people. Feel free to air your Olympic grievances.
