He's signed the reinstatement papers. He missed day 1 of Packers training camp at the request of the GM. With this kind of summer so far, what do you think will happen to Favre this season?

I think that Brett Favre will return to the Packers and eventually take over the starting position. There is no way in hell the Packers are going to release him or trade him away. ESPECIALLY not to the Vikings, who is his main suitor. The Packers seem to be sticking to their guns about starting/grooming Aaron Rodgers for the future, and using Brett if he returns to help couch him. And Brett obviously isn't ready to retire, or else we wouldn't be talking about any of this. Which leaves me to this point.
If (and this is a mighty big IF) Aaron Rodgers makes it through training camp and pre-season as the starter, then he better have his stuff together every moment of every game. You don't just bench a hall of fame quarterback for an entire season without a pretty good reason.
1An I don't care option. Just what I was thinking. Thanks!
2Crazysexycool made a great statement there. I thought about all of those conditions as well but I can't help but be reminded that Green Bay is seeking a future first round draft pick (along with some other things of course) in order to trade Favre. Now, if a team is really willing to give that up for him, not really knowing how long this will go on with Favre (I'm active. I'm retired. I'm active. I'm retired. I'm active... again.). I wish he would own up to the fact that training camp is exhausting for him (He is old in football years) and is the real reason he put fans through this again. I think Green Bay is definitely sticking with Aaron Rodgers b/c if they don't, when his contract is up, he may very well leave b/c of how they handled him in this situation. He's patiently waited on the sidelines to step into the lead position and finally has his chance. I think Favre should consider staying at GB even if he is the back up so he has the opportunity to train Rodgers in a respectable manner. I wish more people would do that in professional sports.

4So after all this craziness, he ends up with the NY Jets.
