Hi Everyone,
I've been quite busy with taking care of my dad right now. He tore his achilles tendon and had surgery last week. All is well though. I've missed out on reporting so many great things so I figured I'd just give my two sense on a few things.
What is there to say about Euro 2008!?! I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to see the whole thing. I am extremely proud of Spain coming out and obtaining their goal. Very exciting indeed.
Wimbledon! Oh my goodness. The rain delays once again came out with a vengeance. Thankfully, the tournament wasn't turned completely upside down by the weather. But how about the finals. To quote the commentators, order was restored to the Women's tourney with the all Williams final. It was very nice to see Venus take the title. But, how about the top 4 seeds being washed away. Wow. But the highlight of the entire tournament... NADAL! After he fought Federer trying to impose his will to take the championship, Nadal finally put his heart on the court and took Wimbledon. Fantastic. For the first time, I was thankful for the rain delay so that I could see the last two sets when I came home.
Swimming Olympic Trials! Those swimsuits are amazing. I haven't had a chance to look them up but they have everything to do (plus work ethic of course) with the multiple World Records being shattered. I will be watching that event closely.
Track Olympic Trials. Jeremy Warner has been disappointing me as of late. I'm hoping that he is just saving it for the games. Even in the race he ran the other day in Europe, he looked as if he wasn't trying. He barely looked winded. I'm hoping it's not a question of heart. I am quite upset at him changing coaches. Hello!!! Who turns down the world record holder as a coach? Was it the workouts? Everyone knows Michael Johnson's workouts are ridiculous. Hands down the only athlete without a doubt who achieved his greatness without drugs. Regardless, his form has changed and I'm not certain if it's for the better. He better prove me wrong in August.
That's it for now. I'm getting off my soap box. I'll be posting new blogs, polls, and bookmarks soon.
Ciao.
